Now I’m already five days here in Exeter on the St. Luke’s Campus. I started my travel on Friday morning on the way to Bremen in Germany. From there on we drove approximately 24 hours till we arrived in Exeter. That was a very long bus ride and we were all happy as we could go into our room.
Even the weather was fine in the afternoon so that we went together in the city of Exeter and the IP supervisors told us a little bit of it. We saw the Exeter Cathedral, which is really great. I have to go there another time to see also the inside of it! And we went to the Quayside of the Exe, a really nice place with little shops and cafés.
On Sunday I went in the city together with some other students. Especially food shopping is really interesting here in England. Its amazing how we go trough those shops and stand before the shelves full of cookies and cupcakes and only say all “wooow!!”. We had a lot of fun although we knew each other only one day! After it we played tennis on the campus. All of us can’t really play it but we’re optimistic that we can at the end of the time in Exeter! In the evening there was an Olympic in the IP Ocean. We did many little games from quizzes to football or limbo.
On Monday we had to do the test which wasn’t really difficult. So not be scared of it! After it we had our first lesson. We talked about our school and rules & regulations. In the afternoon we did a henna workshop. For hours we painted some nice pictures on our arms and hands some of them were really beautiful and then we did the henna colour on it and had to wait till it dries. But at the end there were only light orange tattoos on our skin which you can only hardly see!
After the dinner we get the idea to make a little walk trough Exeter. We saw really nice houses near the campus and other old schools. Many buildings are very old but often they get especially therefore these typical Britain look. We had a really nice walk and a lot of fun although it rained a little bit. In the evening there was speed dating in the ocean lounge and after it we danced a lot like most evenings.
On Tuesday we had our first lesson in our groups for the whole week. We talked about machines and targets in our everyday life and we did a bit of grammar. After it I went with a few girls shopping in the city. In Exeter are so many nice stores so that you can go there for hours without seeing the same things. This funny day ended with a crazy head party! We played games and danced.
The people here are all very friendly, we did a lot of nice activities and I’m looking forward of a few more days in Exeter. On Thursday will be my first trip to Torquay!

Best regards
